EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS!
We are looking forward to returning. Circa 1886 is the best restaurant in Charleston. The food is outstanding and the ambiance and service are excellent.

AS A CALIFORNIAN, NEAR SAN FRANCISCO AND THE NAPA VALLEY, I HAVE EATEN MORE THAN MY FAIR SHARE OF EXCEPTIONAL CUISINE AT EXTRAORDINARY PRICES.
Circa 1886 takes local cuisine and fare in season from the Charleston area and prepares it in a manner similar to that of 1886. To be honest the food was truly exquisite. Everything was prepared to perfection, the service was exceptional. The key lime dessert was so fabulous it is almost worth flying back for, my husband raved over his banana souffle, again perfectly prepared. This meal was about 55 dollars a person without drinks, entrees were 20 to 30. In San Francisco this meal would have been 100 and up in price. Definately my best meal in Charleston.

WE CAN NOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT CIRCA 1886
We had the best dinner there of any restaurant (all high end) in Charleston. The chef is very innovative and he could make fried catfish any day of the week for me! We ate breakfast every morning at Circa and Keri was delightful.

IN A WORD, WOW!
This evening was spectular. From the arrival to our departure, the evening was all about us. The food was phenomenal. Tasty, perfectly presented and exactly as described. The waiters were exceptionally educated on the menu which always makes for a wonderful experience and they had great suggestions when asked. I would highly recommended this for anyone who wants amazing food in an intimate setting with a superb wine and beverage list. We will definitely go back when we visit Charleston again.

THE DINNER WAS EXTRAORDINARY
I would not change one thing about dinner. The appetizer scallop was delicious and the chocolate dessert was heaven. My husband and I truly enjoyed this dinner and were thrilled that we left it till the last night.
